FIRST AID TRAINING

Highland Leisure Training (HLT) can deliver a range of first aid courses including Health & Safety Executive (HSE) approved courses.

HLT are approved HSE instructors under Ken Brown Leisure Training.

The new HSE First Aid at Work Guidelines for Employers were updated on 1st October 2009. These guidelines help employers assess and identify the training required, number of first aiders required and where they should be located.

HLT can also offer the following courses:

  • HSE Emergency First Aider at Work (EFAW) - 6 hour course
  • HSE First Aider at Work (FAW) - 18 hour course
  • HSE First Aider at Work 'Requalifiction' (FAW) - 12 hour course
  • Annual Refresher Training (CPR Skills) - 3 hour course
  • Paediatric First Aid - 7 hour course
  • First Aid for Sports Coaches - 8 or 16 hour course
  • Bespoke First Aid Training - Tailored for individual need

FCS courses held at Fairburn Activity Centre and Invermoriston Village Hall

All HSE First Aid at Work training courses have a 3 year validation period. However due to clear evidence on the severity of 'first aid fade', Annual CPR Skills Training is recommended.
